Parent’s
Responsibility
The UU World of Children is a community of families who honor the importance of:
1) children's ability to direct their own learning, with guidance, and
2) the respect for all people regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or economic status.
Volunteering
The school can keep its tuition low partly because of the assistance of parents in its maintenance. Parents are expected to volunteer hours at the school individually; in addition there are two workdays every year.
These workdays are also opportunities for parents to become acquainted.
PTA
Topics of interest to families are presented at monthly parent meetings where parents enjoy a social evening.
Classroom
Presentations
Parents are asked to volunteer once a year in the classroom. One of our favorite volunteers is Science Bob
